In
addition to competing at the International level, Louise
headed up the USET Active Riders Committee from 1990 to 1994.
Having run eventing programs at several different facilities in the eastern New York/western Connecticut area, Louise finally established her own Treeline farm in 1992.
While competing and coaching her private clients, Louise has also been active in the USEA Young Riders program, coaching as many as 50 Young Riders over the years, including the individual and team gold- and silver-medal winning Area 7 Young Riders in the North American Young Riders FEI Championships for 1998, 1999 and 2000. Three of her students have gone on to ride at the international level, successfully representing the U.S. and Bermuda in team competition. She also coached the Bermudian team at the 1990 World Championships in Stockholm, Sweden.
Acutely aware of the financial stresses presented by a serious competitive Eventing campaign, Louise founded the American Horse Trials Foundation in 1987, which was established to assist International Three Day Event Riders and Organizers in raising tax-deductible financial support for national and international competition.
Louise was the organizer of the Millbrook Horse Trials from 1984 to 1988, and resumed running the event in 2001, continuing on through the present.
Louise is a familiar figure at all levels on the Eventing circuit, as an organizer, coach and rider up and down the East Coast.
